My new colour classic 🙂 Which I have upgraded to OS 7.5 and installed Claris Works and Hypercard. Made in 1992 with a 32bit processor on a 16bit bus the design was flawed. However they are a great little machine. Its rumoured you can (if you can find one) fit the LC575 board and upgrade the RAM past the measly 10Megabytes.
An example of a vintage mac sourced for a client:
The Mac-Mann SSD arrived today for the power mac…Currently restoring from Time Machine.
The iMac now has an SSD in it and it flies. I may make a video on how to change out the hard drive on a 2008 iMac so watch this space. 🙂
Here’s a fab little machine found on Facebook by Faye (a friend of mac-mann). I’ve upgraded it to El Capitan and ordered some more memory to help it run smoothly.
Just a quick post to let you all know about our Internet services partner, global communications and managed service provider. They can provide anything from connectivity right up to a fully managed hosting solution. Award winning data centres and the home of the .IM registry.
The latest addition is a LaserWriter 16/600 with ethernet ! Both PC’s and MAC’s can now print. I picked this up from Chesterfield on Friday and got it home yesterday. Fired it up and it worked first go! I have left the network name as Paper Muncher and max’ed out the RAM to turn on photo grade.
The mac idiots 5k thunderbolt display has arrived! It is my intention to maybe start to do some how to videos and perform the editing on this display.
Here is the latest addition to the Mac idiots collection. A power Mac with Xeon 2.8GHz and 4 cores. I intend this to be my daily machine and powerful enough to encode 4k video. I have already installed macOS high Sierra on it using the tools here: http://dosdude1.com/highsierra/
Kindly donated by Simon ( a friend of mac idiots ) we now have a dual G4 1GHz running OS X 10.5 🙂
